Bite Me The Show About Edibles

New Year, New Bingo Card

Episode 332

Where are you listening from?

New year, fresh page, no guilt goals. We’re kicking off 2026 by swapping fragile resolutions for a playful, practical system that actually sticks: a yearlong Bingo Card. Instead of a lofty list you’ll close and forget, we build a visible, tactile map of small wins, stretch goals, cozy moments, and cannabis curiosity—then we keep it in sight so progress becomes a game you can win.

Download and print the 2026 Bite Me Bingo Card from the site, fill it with what you want to explore, and keep it where you’ll see it. SPEAKER_00:

Welcome friends to episode 332. It is pretty wild to think I've been doing this podcast for six and a half years, 300 plus episodes. I've talked to some really amazing people, I've made some very cool friends, and I am super grateful. And today for listening to this on the day that it's released, it is the new year 2026, a fresh page on the can on the calendar. That's kind of exciting. And so I want to welcome you to this first very chill, bite-me episode of the year. And from the bottom of my heart, I truly hope that this morning finds you safe, content, and surrounded by good vibes, whether that's people you love or the beautiful silence of your own space. Happy New Year. This isn't just a show, it's a community. The curious, the seasoned, the medical warriors, the weekend explorers, and if you're listening to this, you are a part of it. So in these first hours of 2026, let's just all take a deep breath together. However, last year ended for you, it's a fresh page. And I don't know about you, but I'm pretty optimistic about this new chapter of 2026. And I've got this feeling, a buzzing in my bones that something really cool, really positive stuff is on the horizon for me, for Bite Me, and honestly, for all of us if we choose to look for it. Which brings me to a new little project. Behold the 2026 Bite Me Bingo card. That's right. This is my map for the year. Mix of cannabis adventures, personal growth, work stuff, fun stuff. It's about being intentional, making the most of the year, and without setting resolutions. I made a 2025 bingo card last year, and it was one of the best things I ever did. Another friend of mine actually loved the idea so much that she did it as well, and we were able to compare notes throughout the year. And the goal isn't necessarily to get every single square checked off. It's to get a line on the bingo card as if you're really playing the game. And here's the thing oftentimes at the end of a calendar year, I will do some of the, you know, past year reflections and journaling and set goals and intentions for the new year. I'm sure many of you have done that as well. I've made resolutions in the past too, some which I kept and some which I didn't. But to be completely honest, a lot of the times when I sent goals and intentions, I would probably forget about them completely by March. I actually have a document on my laptop right now on which I'm recording this episode that I did last year. And it was all about goals and dreams and everything for 2025. And do you know how many times I opened it after I created it? Maybe twice, once after not long after I did it, and then again, maybe not that long ago, sometime in December. But as part of that, I made this bingo card that I kept in my desk drawer. I put it in one of those plastic page protectors, and that got pulled out on a regular basis. I'd be like, oh, maybe I can check something off of my bingo card. I often did. And because it was sort of a fun game and I could compare notes with my friend, it was something that kind of stayed in the back of my mind, but present for the entire year. And it doesn't have to be serious, it can be fun. My friend that I mentioned that did one too had all kinds of silly things on hers, like she'd never tried a Caesar. Or if you're in the United States, you might know it more as a Bloody Mary. In Canada, we do it a little bit different. We call them Caesars, and she'd never had one. That made it to her bingo card. I myself had to try a few new activities this year. One of those activities was to always back into my parking spots when I'm driving because that's something I hardly ever did. I am now a backing up wizard. I even back up into my garage. There's a garage at the house in which I live. It's pretty narrow. And at first it was a slow, slow backing in, but now I practically do it with my eyes closed. I had goals for my podcast and work goals as well. I mean, when you're making your own bingo card, you can do whatever you want. So I would encourage you to make one too. Forget the New Year's resolutions. We all know, we all have feelings about those. It doesn't have to be fancy if you do a bingo card. You grab a piece of paper, your notes app, whatever, make your own squares. I'm gonna put one over on the website so you can grab one there. It does have like the Bite Me Podcast logo in the middle because of course you get the free square in the middle. You can just print it off and write stuff in. What do you want to explore this year? What do you want to learn? What joyful, cozy, expanded moments do you want to invite in? These are all things that can go on in your bingo card. We can build this year together, one square at a time. I even started making a note on my phone with a whole bunch of different ideas I had for the bingo card for the following year. Some which was like a month of no alcohol, which I will be doing this very month. What a good way to start off the year. I'm also going to be adding no cannabis because I'm doing a tolerance break challenge. I'm actually going to try and master the parallel park because I've barely done it in my decades of driving. That's actually a pretty big one for me. I started birding a little bit not that long ago, adding 10 new birds to my list. I wanted to host a summit, a bite me summit, a virtual cannabis summit at some point next year. That's making it on as well. That's really going to push me. It can be really whatever you want. I think it's a lot of fun. If you want to share with me some of the things you're going to put on your bingo card, tag me, let me know, send me an email, find me over on Instagram, or better yet, join the Bite Me Cannabis Club. We can continue the conversation over there. Like I said, let's build this year one square at a time together. It's so much fun to share the wins. I did get a couple of lines on my card this year. Did I pull everything off? No. But that's okay. That is the beauty of the bingo card. You don't necessarily have to get all of it. And of course, I had some surprises this year too. Things I could therefore say. I didn't see that coming on my 2025 bingo card. That's just what I wanted to share with you. It's fun, tailored to you. It's a great way to keep some of the things you want to accomplish over the course of 2026 a little more front and center. So, friends, I'm so glad that you're here. Thank you for letting me into your 2026. Thank you for letting me into your life in your ears. I know your time is valuable, and everywhere we turn around, there is something or somebody that's vying for our attention. And so the fact that you share some of your attention with me really means a lot. And however you're choosing to spend today, I'm wishing you a year of peace, discovery, really good laughs, and a little bit of bite me. Be kind to yourself. Dream vague, start small, stay lifted. Until next week, my friends, I am your host, Margaret. Stay high.
