Speaker 1:

Hello friends, this is just a really quick episode to hop on here and wish you a very, very happy new year 2024, a brand new year. There's lots of exciting things coming up for the podcast. I hope that you'll be here to join me for them, and I have been looking at recipes and guests to interview for the upcoming year. I have a couple guests already lined up to go, but if there's any guests that you would love to see on the show, please let me know. I would love to hear from you and I'm certainly interested in interviewing people that you want to hear from, and, of course, I'm always looking for fun and interesting episode or sorry recipes that will inspire you to get in the kitchen and try something different.

Speaker 1:

When it comes to making edibles, and as a sort of preview of some of the things I'm thinking about making, I mean my list of episodes and recipes that I work with tend to change based on how I'm feeling, what I'm doing, my inspiration, my headspace, like all these things have an influence, but I come across things I'm like, ooh, I want to make that, and so some of the things I'm thinking about right now are recipes like honey feta bites. Doesn't that sound amazing. Or how about infused baklava, maybe some vegan edibles, deviled eggs, a foie gras pâté as a couple of ideas? I've also sort of saved recipes like citrus glazed carrots and chicken paprika. So those are just a few ideas. Actually, I also have some Haitian meatloaf. I actually love a really good meatloaf, jerk cauliflower, wild mushroom risotto.

Speaker 1:

I mean, there's always so many things, and you may have noticed that a lot of the ones that I just listed off are primarily savory as opposed to sweet, which may be a little bit of a departure for me, although the honey feta bites are probably more on the sweet side. But I am just so interested in getting into the realm of edibles and all its many myriad forms, and a lot of the times that branches out beyond the traditional pot brownie that we're also familiar with, and I just love to show people how varied and interesting edibles really can be, because when you get the techniques down, you can really hone in on some pretty interesting stuff. That's what I'm here for and that's what I want to share with you. So please let me know if there's anything you would love to see, a recipe or a guess in the upcoming year, and, of course, I hope you are enjoying lots of wonderful edibles over this holiday season and enjoying time with friends and family, and I'm wishing you a very happy new year.

Speaker 1:

Until next week, my friends, you know what to do. Stay high.
